"Art is too important not to share."

Morning Chorus - Cynthia Dix

We support printmakers through networking, exhibitions, skill sharing and life-long learning opportunities. Professional artists and those just beginning their creative journey are encouraged in experimentation and the pursuit of excellence in printmaking.

PAWA aims to promote the production, appreciation, enjoyment and collection of prints throughout Western Australia.  Fine art printmaking includes traditional techniques such as etching, engraving, lithography, lino-cuts and screen printing as well as contemporary forms of printing which can include digital elements and laser engraving.

"We promote and encourage experimentation in the production of prints.”

Established in 1974 by a group of enthusiastic and dedicated printmakers, with our studio based at Atwell House & Gallery. PAWA coordinates many group exhibitions annually for members as well as skill sharing sessions, workshops, visiting speakers, tours of renowned print collections and networking opportunities.

Being a part of the PAWA community is a great way for printmakers in Western Australia to connect with and learn from a wealth of knowledge while taking part in the joy of printmaking.
