Create numerous unique oil-based prints using the painterly method of monotype by working into a surface of rolled ink. Explore exciting mark making techniques by using household objects and brushes to remove the ink from the plate and create beautiful textures. Bridget will demonstrate how to create landscapes with multiple layers and effects on different papers. Work in a figurative or abstract way.
Bridget Seaton has a BFA degree from Cardiff University in Wales. She emigrated to Australia to pursue her love of the bush, the subject matter that inspires her as a painter and printmaker. She exhibits locally and enjoys sharing her skills teaching art within the community. Working predominantly in ink and monoprint Bridget interprets the landscape through mark making techniques.
Workshop cost: $60 by Tuesday 12th February, plus a materials fee ($15) paid on the day.
