PAWA September Sunday Skillshare
Join printmaker Beck Klemens for a skillshare exploring stencil-making using a Cricut machine. Do you hate hand cutting stencils? This skillshare is an introduction into how a smart cutting machine can be incorporated into your printmaking practice. Create stencils and masks quickly and accurately that can be used for screen printing, relief printing and monoprint. Beck will demonstrate some of the possibilities of the Cricut smart cutting machine and there will be time to experiment with your own stencils as well.
Either bring along a current project that could incorporate a stencil or mask or create something on the day. To get the most out of this skillshare send through your stencil design to admin@pawa.org.au so that the stencil files can be prepared in advance (maximum size should be able to fit on an A3 sheet). There will also be some limited scope to cut stencils on the day. For this skillshare stencils will be cut from either thin acetate (OHP sheets) or synthetic paper (Yupo).
Bring a plate to share and the drink of your choice if you would like to stay and be social. Some materials, tea and coffee will be available!
Cost is $20*. Click on "Register" below. You will receive an invoice and can pay anytime. However you are welcome to enroll and cash on the day will be accepted.
